McKayla Jones, MSW Student

McKayla has experience working with children and families as a special education teacher, adolescents in residential treatment, and LGBTQ+ youth and adults in community settings. These experiences have taught her the importance of relationships, safety, and feeling genuinely heard. She strives to create a space where clients feel respected and accepted, while having the opportunity to explore their experiences and build on their strengths. She believes our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors make more sense when we understand what is happening beneath the surface.

Outside of therapy, McKayla enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hiking and gardening. She also loves spending time with her dog and believes that the relationships, activities, and little things that bring us joy are an important part of what makes life meaningful.
