She is a certified Utah Crisis Worker with a strong background in mobile crisis outreach and acute care settings. Prior to graduate school, Porshai worked at Primary Children’s Hospital on the NeuroTrauma unit, gaining invaluable experience supporting individuals and families navigating terminal illness, traumatic brain injuries, and palliative care. Porshai specializes in grief work, including disenfranchised grief and the loss of loved ones or pets. She also works with clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, and women’s mental health concerns such as pre/postpartum challenges and PMDD.
