Joe believes in meeting clients exactly where they are with respect, dignity, and kindness. He prioritizes creating a judgment-free environment where clients feel safe to explore challenges, learn new skills, and grow. His work focuses on helping individuals recognize and elevate the unique strengths they already possess. He is particularly passionate about supporting men’s mental health. He understands that many men are often expected to carry life’s pressures silently, and he strives to create a space where men can speak openly about their struggles without judgment, comparison, or stigma. Joe has experience working with children, teens, adults, and couples who are navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, addiction, and trauma. His therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Gottman Couples Therapy, and strength-based practices that help clients identify and build upon their existing abilities, empowering them to strengthen their mental and emotional health. Joe graduated with his Master of Social Work from the University of Utah, where he also earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology. Before entering the mental health field, Joe spent years working in personal training and first response roles, which shaped his deep respect for resilience, discipline, and caring for both physical and mental well-being. Outside of his clinical work, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and children, reading, practicing martial arts, hunting and fishing, and being outdoors in nature.
